Suck it up buttercup

One of the biggest misconceptions in understanding others is the thought that as humans, we are all alike in many ways. This thought can bring into play a wide range of feelings and judgement of other people based upon our own experiences and how we deal with them.
It's easy to watch another go through a situation that we have been through and judge, tell them how they will feel, should or shouldn't feel, what they are going through, and for cripes sake, if they are still suffering and struggling with those feelings, our response is that they should be over it already. Find some closure, man will ya? I'm tired if hearing about it.
This behavior seems to run rampant in those that miss the point in 12 step programs and it defeats the whole purpose of what the concept of the program was, or is based upon.
One of the worst ways to face aggression is with...........aggression. Compassion and empathy are very healing. Having compassion for an individual going through something you have never been through is empowerment and healing. Having empathy is even more healing because you are able to meet the person where they are based upon your own experience.
Experience , strength, and hope.
Be care ful what you say to someone, or how you judge them, because life has a way of happening that can knock you on yer bum real fast and you will need someone to help you get back up, not someone to stand above you with their arms folded saying.............suck it up buttercup, that's life.....................
Keep coming brother..............it gets better..............
